The End of an Endless Summer
I know I’m one of the few out there that absolutely love summer - the heat, the sweat, the endless sunshine. The nights when you don’t have to grab your sweatshirt because it’s still 80 degrees outside are my jam. In this household we embrace the endless rays spending countless hours outside on walks, in the garden, and playing i the sand. Even the cat gets in on the fun…
It would come as no surprise that I get a little grouchy when the light gets shallower, evening comes a little too early, and a sweatshirt becomes a permanent companion around my waist. Fall is sneakily creeping in, and soon behind old lady winter.
I can feel it, and see it, and smell it. sigh Even as hard as I try, I have mini toddler temper tantrums as the nights become longer and the mornings a tad chillier each day.
So what’s the trick to conquering the transition in seasons? How can I start loving fall as much as I love summer (maybe love is a stretch)? I’d love to hear from you - what are your favorite seasons and why?
How do you embrace the transitions in life and find the beauty in the moments you look forward to least? Pick up your last glass of sparkling rose, leave a comment below, and toast to the end of this endless summer.
Much Love - Katie
